Use the title edit control
Select the edit icon beside the title on the book detail page.

Enter the new title
This inline control changes the title only; it does not edit subtitle or author name.

Save and verify
Save the update, refresh the detail page and check the cover separately if it contains old title text.
Success check
Confirm that it worked
- The app displays “Book title updated successfully”.
- The new title remains visible after the detail page is reloaded.
Important notes
- The pencil tooltip is “Edit book title” and its dialog is “Edit Book Title”.
- Changing metadata does not rewrite text already rendered into the cover image; inspect and replace the cover separately if necessary.
Troubleshooting
If it still does not work
The new title cannot be saved
Enter at least one non-whitespace character. An empty value produces “Book title cannot be empty”.
