60-second summary
Quick answer
Open the book detail page, select a chapter, edit its text and save before navigating away. Preview the formatted book afterward because editor paragraphs and final pages are different views.
Before you start
What you need
- Open a generated book’s detail page and expand the subchapter you want to change.
- Finish any heading rename separately with the chapter or subchapter pencil control.
Procedure
Complete the task step by step
- 01
Open the book detail page
Find the project in Library and choose the edit or chapter action.
Current app screen
Use the pencil controls to rename sections, open a subchapter to edit its text, or use the menu for additional actions. - 02
Select one chapter
Edit one chapter at a time so changes remain easy to review.
- 03
Make the content yours
Add examples, methods, facts and transitions that match your voice and expertise.
- 04
Save before moving on
Wait for the save confirmation before opening another chapter.
- 05
Preview the final layout
Text length can change pagination, spacing and image placement in exports.
Success check
Confirm that it worked
- “Save” produces “Chapter updated successfully”.
- The saved text remains when the subchapter is closed and opened again.
Important notes
- “Edit Content” opens the content editor; “Reset” discards unsaved edits and restores the last saved content.
- Changing a chapter invalidates a previously generated download, so preview and export the revised book again.
Troubleshooting
If it still does not work
The app says “Failed to save chapter. Please try again.”
Keep the editor open, verify the connection, and retry Save before navigating to another chapter.
