60-second summary
Quick answer
Check the original Library card first. A processing item becomes Stalled only after more than 30 minutes without an update; when Retry generation is available, it retries that project without charging again.
Before you start
What you need
- Use the original Library card and keep its numeric book ID available.
- Check its last update and status before starting any replacement project.
Procedure
Complete the task step by step
- 01
Check the Library status
Queued or Creating means background generation may still be running; the UI labels a processing item Stalled only after more than 30 minutes without an update.
- 02
Open the original item once
Confirm which chapters exist and whether that same Library card offers Retry generation.
- 03
Avoid duplicate submissions
Do not create the same project repeatedly while the first request is still active.
- 04
Retry only from the provided control
Use Retry generation on the existing project when available; the current control states Retry without charging again.
- 05
Report the stalled item if needed
Open the project detail page and send support the book title, the book ID from its URL and the exact step that failed.
Success check
Confirm that it worked
- A retry moves the same Library item back to “Queued” or “Creating”, and then to “Ready”.
- No duplicate project is created and the existing retry is not charged again.
Important notes
- The current UI labels a processing project “Stalled” only after more than 30 minutes without an update.
- “Retry generation” appears only on a project that can be retried safely; its tooltip says “Retry without charging again”.
Troubleshooting
If it still does not work
The project has been unchanged for more than 30 minutes but Retry generation is unavailable
Do not create a duplicate. Contact support with the numeric book ID and current status so the existing job can be inspected.
