Automateed Help
Importing and Book Editor
Upload an existing manuscript, edit it and prepare it for Automateed publishing.
What this section covers
Work in the correct product area
Book Editor accepts an existing manuscript or a finished PDF, but those inputs have different behavior. DOC and DOCX can become editable projects; PDF is preserved as a finished file rather than converted into editable chapter text.
DOCX preserves more editable structure than legacy DOC, while several Word caption styles are removed during local import. Before publishing, review and save the imported project and add its cover; the publishing flow then creates the public product record.
After using these guides, you can:
- Choose the correct import path for DOC, DOCX, or PDF.
- Prepare a manuscript whose chapters and images parse cleanly.
- Move a saved imported project into the publishing workflow.
